About the Teacher
My name is Courtney Nichols. I was born and raised in Greenville, MS and moved to DeSoto County with my family while I was in college. I am married to my husband Blake and we have a 2 year old daughter named Caroline and two fur babies named Dak and Callie.
After graduating from Blue Mountain College in 2015, I immediately accepted my first teaching position in Desoto County. While at Olive Branch Middle School, I taught sixth grade Reading and Language Arts. That year was an amazing growing and learning experience for me as an educator. For the 4 years, I taught 3rd grade ELA and Social Studies at Chickasaw Elementary. During the 2021-2022 school year, I taught SPED inclusion at Hernando Middle School.
This is my first year as a part of the DCES family, and I feel truly blessed to be here. I strive to create and maintain a positive learning environment for my students. As your child's teacher, I want to keep you informed of your child's progress throughout the year. Let's have a fabulous 2022-2023 school year!
