Education

I received my Bachelors degree from the University of Mississippi. 

Experience

This will be my eleventh  year teaching for Desoto County Schools. This will be my sixth year teaching at Desoto Central Elementary.  I am so excited to be a part of the DCES family!

Bio

My name is Melissa Newsom.  My husbands name is Jason.  We have been married for twelve years.  We have three children, Brooklyn (10) , Aiden (7), and Isaac (8 months).  We live in Coldwater. We both graduated from Desoto County Schools.  I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, church, and teaching!
